Mineral was formed in 1994 in Houston, Texas by four friends who shared a love for emotive and passionate music. Influenced by the raw and introspective lyrics of bands like Sunny Day Real Estate and Jawbreaker, Mineral quickly gained a following in the underground music scene with their dynamic and powerful live performances. Their debut album, "The Power of Failing", showcased their knack for blending raw emotion with intricate and melodic guitar work, solidifying their place as pioneers in the emo and post-hardcore genres. Despite disbanding in 1998, Mineral is still regarded as one of the most influential bands in the alternative music scene.
